Classically trained DJ/producer and singer/songwriter Casmalia has taken the west coast house music scene by storm. Based in San Diego, Casmalia has made a name for herself as both a formidable producer and powerhouse vocalist, spanning a variety of styles from tech house to melodic bass house.

 

Hailed as one of 2022’s Artists to Watch by both EDM Identity and Nightenjin, she’s released on acclaimed labels such as Insomniac Records, mau5trap, Night Bass, Box of Cats, Space Yacht, and more, with support from international artists such as David Guetta, Diplo, Green Velvet, AC Slater, Gene Farris, BIJOU, and many more. Equally at home in the underground as she is on the main stage, Casmalia has had notable appearances at Coachella, EDC Las Vegas, Beyond Wonderland, Firefly, Groove Cruise, Splash House, Public Works SF, Exchange LA, Spybar Chicago, and many more. In 2023, she joined both Kyle Watson and Noizu on tour, as well as partnered with LP Giobbi’s flagship project Femme House to provide free educational resources to women and LGBT+ artists.

 

Casmalia’s sound can be described as bass-heavy with detailed percussion and can range in style from minimal to melodic. Heavily influenced by disco, Detroit-style techno and 90’s hip hop, Casmalia is known for playing mostly original songs in her sets, as well as singing her vocals live.
